Belladonna's Requiem

Mass for the Death of the Beautiful lady

There once was a woman, beautiful and fair,
To whom no other could quite compare,
But her vanity was fiery and wild,
Nothing of her was demure or mild,
And this would be her downfall.

They found her beneath the silvered moon,
Laid in repose, caught in a swoon,
But upon closer inspection they did see,
flawless and pale, dead and cold, was she.
For she had taken a deadly tincture.

Now they sing at the requiem mass,
Of the belladonna, of the beautiful lass,
Of the woman who died in the vale
having sought the dwale,
Of Deadly Nightshade.

The lust for the perfection of beauty has been the downfall of many a vain and prideful spirit. The beautiful woman was not exempt of this fate, as her own demons of vanity lured her to overdose on deadly nightshade in the attempt to perfect her own beauty.

Belladonna's Requiem: Mass for the Beautiful Lady is a line of capsule jewelry available on Etsy, that captures the lore of deadly nightshade, throws in a little occult, a touch of steampunk, and combines it all together into something unusual and unique.
